Serrapeptase, Your Health And Longevity - Possible Anti-Infalmmatory, Coronary Disease Benefits
What is Serrapeptase?
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme with powerful anti-inflammatory properties which actually digests inflammatory tissue. Originally found in microbes in the intestine of the Silk Worm, Serrapeptase is the substance used to make a hole in the cocoon so that the moth may emerge and it is also used it to digest the tough Mulberry Leaves on which it feeds. Today, the Silk Worm is not involved and the Serrapeptase is now processed (synthesized) under clinical conditions. Some Possible Uses for Serrapeptase:
Pain Reduction with Serrapeptase: While Serrapeptase reduces inflammation it also reduces pain due to its ability to block the release of pain-inducing amines from the inflamed tissues. In both Europe and Asia medical professionals have recognised the anti-inflammatory and pain-blocking benefits of this naturally occurring substance and are using it instead of NSAIDs.
Post-operative Swelling and Pain: Serrapeptase is a common treatment for inflammatory and traumatic swellings throughout Europe. In one double blind study, patients receiving Serrapeptase after knee surgery had a 50% reduction in swelling and pain compared to the placebo group. By the tenth day post op, their pain had disappeared completely.
Carpal Tunnel: Carpal Tunnel syndrome is a form of musculo-ligamentous strain. Surgery is often an unsatisfactory option and thankfully recent studies reveal that the use of Serrapeptase in conjunction with bromelain (another proteolytic enzyme) and Vitamins B2 and B6 is an effective alternative.
Ear, Nose and Throat: Clinical trials have showed that Serrapeptase quickly (within 3-4 days) relieves problems associated with ear, nose and throat infection like anosmia (loss of smell), nasal obstruction, laryngitis, difficulty swallowing etc. Studies showed that an amazing 98% of people in the trial had excellent relief. One anecdotal report said that Serrapeptase had ended years of snoring overnight.
